Python `tempfile.gettempdir（）`はTMPDIRを尊重しません

Question

共有Linuxクラスタを使用していて、一時ディレクトリがデフォルトの/tmpではなく/tmp/usernameになるようにします。

tempfile docsによれば、gettempdir()は、$TMPDIRという環境変数を使用して一時ディレクトリを決定する必要があります。

しかし、これはそうではありませんか？

ディレクトリは存在しますか？ユーザーが書き込み可能ですか？そうでない場合、動作しなくなり、Pythonは他の場所にフォールバックします。コードhereが表示されます。
